Buffer and its Benefits

Buffer is an exemplary program that will be useful in posting social media content and help with marketing your business. If you have more than one social media site such as Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, etc. then Buffer is the perfect choice when you need to post many times over many different sites. Buffer is free for individuals with individual profiles with small scheduled posts. There is a fee for larger profile numbers and larger amount of posts per profile.

 

Here are the steps to create your Buffer Account:

  1. Go to https://buffer.com/
  2. Click the “Sign Up For Free” button.
  3. Enter the email address and password you would like to use.
  4. Click “Create Account”
  5. (Optional) – Check the box labeled “Keep me signed in”

You have now created your Buffer account. From this point you must follow the steps to link each of your social network profiles. You must enter the email and password for the social network profiles you have already created. NOT the Buffer account.

 

Here are a few tips with your Buffer Account:

  • You may link your Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, Google+, and Pinterest, along with many other social media accounts, to Buffer.
  • When posting on multiple sites at one time please pay close attention to the date and time you are posting for. (This is important when you want specific posts posted at specific times on different social media sites.)
  • When changing any settings for ANY post please remember to do so for each social media profile.
    • For Example: If you change the date and time for your Twitter profile, do not assume that Facebook and Linkedin are now changed as well. You must go to Facebook and Linkedin separately and change the settings there.
  • You can post pictures, videos, and other types of posts; as you would normally through any social media site.
  • You can set up specific times and/or days for a specific topic or picture being posted for that that particular site.
    • Please be aware: when setting up times please make sure each social media site is adjusted individually. You CANNOT adjust times or days all at once!
    • Twitter accounts: have a set number of words that you may post. Please remember this when posting large amounts of content on Twitter. Other social media sites should NOT be affected.
  • Each of your sites are now combined into one centralized area so you are now able to post to your sites with a few easy clicks, or no clicks at all, to all of your social media sites at one time.
  • This Post is based off a 30 day trial version of this program. Once the trial has ended users have to merge into the account that suits your particular needs.
